Before each use, check your Easybreath, in particular your child's:
- Take the snorkel in your hand and move it from left to right. The ball must follow the movement without constraint
- Check the presence, condition and correct position of the seal
- Check that all the valves are present, that they are not deformed and that they are firmly pressed against their support
- The skirt must fit the mask perfectly
- Never use the mask without the snorkel
In the event of fogging in the eyes, we invite you to redo the 4 steps previously detailed, to reposition your Easybreath mask correctly and to check that the size of your Easybreath is well suited to your face. If the problem persists, do not use the mask and approach the nearest Decathlon store.
Snorkeling is a simple and fun activity for the whole family! Breathing through a snorkel is more demanding than just swimming. If you feel tired, short of air or dizzy, remove your mask and get out of the water.
Do not use this product if you have cardiovascular or respiratory problems (lung infection, angina, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). Do not hesitate to consult your doctor in case of doubt.
The Decathlon Easybreath 500 mask is the second generation of the full-face snorkeling mask, invented by Decathlon.
It has the same characteristics as the old model: 180° vision, anti-fog, easy to put on... and we have improved the solidity of the mask, the comfort of the skirt, breathing by reducing the inspiratory effort. It is also equipped with a new innovation: the "dry-top-release". You will no longer have the phenomenon of blocked breathing when passing a wave.
The inhaled fresh air is projected on the glass before reaching the nose or the mouth via the nasal valves. It is this fresh air which constantly arrives which limits the appearance of fogging.
The air laden with humidity and CO² is evacuated through channels located inside the rim of the mask which lead this air into the snorkel. Thus the air is constantly renewed. The incoming and outgoing air flows are separated to avoid a remixing of polluted air and therefore only breathe fresh air.
The volume of air contained in the Decathlon snorkeling mask is greater than that contained in a traditional mask.
From 1m deep, the pressure of the mask on the face is felt. When doing apnea, it is imperative to decompress, but with the Easybreath this is impossible, because the nose is inaccessible.
The choice of a full-face snorkeling mask will be made if the user is mainly looking for great breathing comfort and a large field of vision.
By design, the Easybreath Decathlon mask is ideal for people observing mainly from the surface.
The Easybreath Adult - 500 surface mask is available in 2 sizes and thus covers 90% of adult faces.
From 10 years old and for small faces choose size S/M and for larger faces: size M/L.
To choose the right size in store, tighten the mask on your face: there should be no space between your chin and the bottom of the mask.
Beard hair prevents good contact between facial skin and mask skirt. Sealing cannot therefore be guaranteed for beard wearers. The best way to guarantee impermeability with this full-face mask is to shave. Failing this, the use of a thick ointment such as petroleum jelly can also be a solution.
It was developed to prevent water from entering through the snorkel when there is choppy water, wavelets on the surface or when the user tilts their head too far forward to observe the seabed. The snorkel has a buoy which, when immersed, rises in the snorkel to block the entrance. In case of immersion, think of blowing while going up to the surface to be sure to let go down this buoy.
YES, extend the life of your Subea Easybreath mask! After-sales service is available at the Workshop of your DECATHLON store. Spare parts (strap, cover, snorkels, valves) are also available online or in store.

The majority of eyeglass frames will prevent the mask from sealing properly by deforming the skirt of the mask. It is therefore complicated to use the Easybreath with prescription glasses.
Watch out for the sand! Avoid putting your Easybreath 500 full-face diving mask in contact with sand, which will scratch the glass of the mask. In the presence of sand, do not force to clip the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel and mask before fitting them. Sand can also block the float that is in the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you will pass through the rear vents of the snorkel to unlock the float, then rinse the snorkel.
