A gi adapted to your style
There are many different styles of karate: the French federation, for example, covers 32 different styles.
With the short skirt and long sleeves, your uniform features a European cut that is suited to most karate styles, especially shotokan.
Sold without belt.
What is the uniform made from?
For starting out, this uniform is made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. Why? For greater durability, faster drying and to prevent shrinking when you wash your uniform at 30°C!
With a grammage of 220 g/sqm (8 oz), your uniform is light enough to keep you moving around and doing all your techniques easily.
About the design of your Karate 100 uniform
Regardless of your style, this uniform is attractive, technical and suited to your practice:
- The cut of the bottoms is designed for use with foot and shin guards
- The jacket is nipped-in at the hips for an elegant look
- The looseness of the jacket across the chest allows you to execute all your arm-based techniques without restriction
- The slits on the sides of the jacket provide greater freedom of movement for all your leg movements, even in low positions.
Our design team talks about our new range of uniforms:
"We had quite a bit to rethink - we started from scratch. The priorities were reworking the fabrics and cut to create uniforms that were attractive but which still looked like karate uniforms. Most of all, we wanted to give karatekas what they needed." Next, dozens of prototypes made and tests were performed with about 20 karatekas until we got every detail just right.
Enrique, Outshock product manager and black belt in karate, explains his version of the uniforms
"I hope that our uniforms will win over even the most demanding purists. We wanted to identify what the uniform means to us, the importance of form and technique, following the movement of the body. The uniform helps you embody the form and technique of your karate."
