Designed for endurance workouts lasting over 3 hours, this gel really does its job for your long sessions or competitions (trail runs, triathlons, cyclothons or marathons).
This gel also contains BCAA (essential amino acids), components of muscle protein. Their contribution is important for muscle repair. For more information, see composition.
WHEN SHOULD I TAKE MY ENERGY GEL+?
In order to compensate energy loss during a workout, we recommend that you start by taking Energy Gels (containing neither caffeine or BCAA). After about 3/4 of the competition, use Energy Gels+ (every 45 minutes to 1 hour, and 1 at the end of the race). During a race, you should ideally take the gel just before refuelling for better assimilation. During training sessions, we recommend that you carry water with you in case there is no water point on your route.
WHAT SHOULD I TAKE IN ADDITION TO MY ENERGY GEL+?
Nutritionists recommend 60 g of carbohydrates (= sugar) per hour of sport for workouts longer than 3 hours. For this 32 g gel, there are 22 g of carbohydrates. We therefore recommend that you drink 500 ml of isotonic drink per hour as well as the gel. No drink holding solution? We recommend the HYDROGEL+, which is more liquid and contains sodium (the mineral most lost in sweat).
