TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

3 in 1!

At first, kids use the balance board to improve their motor skills and their imagination.
Then, learning turns into play and the balance board takes them on countless adventures as their imagination and creativity grow.
It can also be used for relaxation by adding a rug, cushion or a few stuffed animals.

60 minutes of daily physical activity

Did you know that to stay healthy, your child should get at least 180 minutes of physical activity every day according to WHO recommendations? And at least 60 minutes should be moderate to vigorous from age 3!
Regular physical activity from a very young age is beneficial for your child's physical and mental development. Learning healthy habits early on can help limit health problems later in life and improve their self-esteem.

How to measure a child's psychomotor development

Kids' psychomotor development depends on a combination of genetics, motor skills and mental abilities.
There are several aspects to motor skills: the body map, dynamic coordination, balance, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and time and spatial awareness.A product can impact a child's psychomotor development if it supports their motor skills.

What is the body map?

The body map refers to a child's perception of their body, which allows them to master their movements and develop self awareness. It is developed based on sensations and actions ("a body that feels, moves"), before being represented and described ("bodily representation", drawing of a person). The more a child moves, the more they learn to refine their body map and the better they're able to move.

What is hand-eye coordination What is time and spatial awareness

To discover the world, a child needs to touch and handle the objects around them. They gradually reach this point through the development of their vision and hand coordination. As they mature and grow, this will help them move more precisely.
Time and spatial awareness includes everything that situates a child in the time (before/after, day/night) and space (right/left, under/over).

We chose wood for its warmth and robustness. It's also conducive to our goal of using natural materials that are more in tune with a child's world and in line with parents' concerns.
