Use the compass flat:
To ensure the compass correctly indicates magnetic north, use it flat. For example, when placing the compass in the palm of your hand. For use with a map, position your map flat with the compass placed on top of it.
What if your compass loses north?
Use the compass a distance away from any magnetic source that will make it lose north: high-voltage lines, mobile phone, keys, metal objects, etc. - and even the influence of another compass can make it change direction!
Simple and reliable
This is not a toy! It’s also reliable as a high-end compass. The difference with other compasses in the range comes down to the additional features it offers: the size of the dial, readability and speed.
