Design & style
This hunting martingale features a dynamic design inspired by the adrenaline and speed of show jumping. The anatomical design was created with your horse's needs in mind for a comfortable fit at all times. To reflect the athleticism of the discipline and the femininity of the sport, we added subtle details such as contrasting white topstitching and a silver Fouganza label.
Sizing
This hunting martingale is available in two sizes: CS for section D ponies and small horses, FS for horses.
Adjustment
This model can be adjusted in several places. There is a snap hook to attach it to the girth. It can be removed if you don't need it. The straps that attach to the skirts with snap hooks can also be adjusted. The rings clip onto the reins and the fork can be adjusted using two buckles.
Our suggestions for adjusting your hunting martingale
If the hunting martingale is poorly adjusted, it can hinder your horse's movement, especially at the withers and shoulders. We designed this martingale to fit above the shoulders. It is important to use all the adjustments properly (skirt, girth and billet strap) to position the martingale correctly above the shoulder without it forcing your horse's head down.
Our suggestions for adjusting your martingale
If it is poorly adjusted, it can prevent your horse from moving comfortably. We suggest taking the time to adjust it well before using it. The fork length is generally adjusted to two-thirds the length of the collar. You can further adjust it by using the loop that connects the two elasticated straps. To prevent accidents, make sure the breastplate and loops are well adjusted (but not too tight).
Easy adjustment
Each of the elasticated straps has a clip-on ring. You don't need to remove your reins - the rings clip on in a flash. Likewise, the girth clips on with an ultra-robustand removable snap hook.
Care advice
To keep your martingale in good condition, we recommend cleaning it regularly with glycerine soap applied using a sponge dampened with lukewarm water. You can then hydrate your leather with grease applied using a household or special leather cloth. If your leather items are rough and dry, you can also treat them with leather milk to deeply moisturise the leather.
Versatility
Suitable for double flap and monoflap saddles
